It is possible to use inexpensive metal materials such as Cu and Ni as the electrode material, thereby suppressing the decrease in high temperature electrical resistance and the electromechanical coupling coefficient kr.n n n A piezoelectric ceramic composition mainly composed of a composite oxide containing Pb, Ti, and Zr as a constituent element. At least 1 sort (s) chosen from Mn, Co, Cr, Fe, Ni is contained as a 1st subcomponent. Content of a 1st subcomponent is 0.2 mass% or less (but 0 is not included) in conversion of oxide. Alternatively, for the first auxiliary component it contains at least one type of component represented by CuO x (x≥0). Content of the 1st subcomponent in this case is 3.0 mass% or less (but 0 is not included) in CuO conversion. The piezoelectric ceramic composition is fired under reducing firing conditions. Reduction firing conditions are the baking temperature 800 degreeC-1000 degreeC, and oxygen partial pressure 1 * 10 < -10> -1 * 10 < -6> atmospheric pressure, for example.n n n n Piezoelectric ceramic composition, piezoelectric element, coupling coefficient, reducing firing conditions, firing temperature |
