Metallic material for casting machine parts and aluminum molten metal contact member and manufacturing method |
abstract |
A Ni alloy layer is formed on the surface of the base material made of steel that is in direct contact with the molten aluminum, and titanium carbide (TiC) is bonded to the surface of the Ni alloy layer in the form of particles. As a result, much superior damage resistance can be exhibited without using conventional methods such as forming a ceramic film by PVD or CVD. |
