titleOfInvention | Manufacturing method of bisphenol A |
abstract | In a method for producing bisphenol A by continuously supplying phenol to the first stage reactor in a fixed bed multistage continuous reaction system composed of two or more reactors filled with a cation exchange resin catalyst, acetone is divided into each reactor and continuously supplied. In the process of exchanging the cation exchange resin having the most deteriorated catalytic activity with a new or regenerated cation exchange resin, a reactor filled with the new or regenerated cation exchange resin is installed at the end of the reaction system, and the reactor of the last stage is replaced with acetone. Disclosed is a method for producing bisphenol A, which is operated such that the ratio R of the feed to the consumption is greater than 1 and less than 3. According to this method, product bisphenol A of good color can be efficiently manufactured while maintaining the supply amount of acetone relatively low. |
