abstract A light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The semiconductor light emitting diode of the present invention is a quantum dot layer and a quantum dot layer in which a plurality of quantum dots are distributed in the plane direction as an active layer of a semiconductor interposed between the first barrier layer, the second barrier layer, and the first and second barrier layers. An intermediate thin film layer surrounding the quantum dots of the quantum dots includes an active layer alternately stacked, and some or all of the quantum dots of each quantum dot layer have a distribution pattern similar to the quantum dot distribution pattern of the neighboring quantum dot layer, and are arranged adjacently and electrically coupled Ring. Such a semiconductor light emitting diode of the present invention can provide a diode in which various colors such as white light are emitted in a very simple and economical manner.
