titleOfInvention Cancer preventive and therapeutic pharmaceutical composition containing an indole derivative as an active ingredient
abstract The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer containing an indole derivative as an active ingredient, wherein the indole derivative of the present invention does not exhibit anticancer activity by non-selective cytotoxicity, but is important for growth and metastasis of cancer cells. It inhibits the activity of HIF-1, a transcription factor that plays a role, and shows anticancer activity. Therefore, the indole derivatives or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof according to the present invention can be used as a therapeutic agent for various cancer diseases such as liver cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer by inhibiting HIF-1 activity. In addition, the indole derivative according to the present invention or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof may be used as an active ingredient of a therapeutic agent for diabetic retinopathy or arthritis which is exacerbated by an increase in expression of VEGF by HIF-1 in a hypoxic state.n n n n Formula 1n n n n n n n n n (Wherein R is as defined in the specification).
