abstract | The present invention comprises reacting a compound of formula (II) with an anion formed by extracting a bromine or iodine atom from a compound of formula (XIX) to form a compound of formula (XX) A method of making a compound, or tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or prodrug thereof:n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n Wherein B is OH, NH 2 , NHR, H or halogen; D is OH, NH 2 , NHR, H, halogen or SCH 3 ; R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl group; Z is OH, hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, SQ or OQ, Q is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl group; Z 'is a hydrogen or halogen atom, a group of formula SQ or OQ, or a trialkylsilyloxy, alkyldiarylsilyloxy or substituted or unsubstituted triarylmethoxy group, Q is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aralkyl or Aryl group; R 5 is bromine or iodine atom; R 6 is an N-protecting group; B 'and D' are independently selected from H, OR 7 and N (R 8 ) 2 , and R 7 and R 8 are each O- and N-protecting groups; R 9 is a hydrogen atom.
