abstract The present invention relates to a navigation terminal, a traffic guidance method thereof, and a traffic information providing system and method. The system receives the traffic information target location information from the terminal, wherein the location information includes at least one of coordinates, time, node type, and order. Map matching is performed on the unit node map information of the numerical map for collecting traffic information generated by subdividing the traffic information providing link into predetermined detailed links. Then, based on the map matching result, generate traffic information for a predetermined section based on a unit node, and the system processes the communication information to subdivide the traffic information providing link of the specific region into predetermined detailed links. Traffic information is generated by matching the generated digital map for providing traffic information, and provided. The average value of the traveling speed (or traveling time) of a given detailed link is the same as the traveling speed (or traveling time) of the traffic information providing link which is their entire link, but the traveling speed (or traveling) of the predetermined detailed link according to the location of congestion.
