abstract | The material of the present invention includes a layer having a plurality of self-assembled structures 602-612 made of a composition. The structure is limited to individual islands covering a portion of the layers of the integrated assembly. In some embodiments, the composition comprises nanoparticles. In particular, some embodiments relate to materials having self-assembly formations of inorganic particles having an average diameter of less than about 100 nm. Structures 602-612 can be used as devices with integrated articles. The method of forming the article includes a localization process for delimiting the device and a self-assembly process within the identified boundary. |
