abstract A sub tank is provided that includes a case in which an air flow path is formed, an air flow part including an inlet flow path part connected to an ink receiving part of the case, and a cross flow path part continuous from the inlet flow path part. The cross flow path portion extends in the upper diagonal direction with respect to the reference plane corresponding to the ink liquid level in the stationary state. Another sub tank is provided that includes a case forming an ink receptacle, in which a flexible film member is attached through adhesion or welding to seal the inlet of the ink receptacle and form one side of the sub tank. The spring is disposed in the ink receiving portion between the case and the flexible film member, and the spring exerts force on the flexible film member to the outside.
