Intracellular gene expression is inhibited by introducing into the cell a lentiviral vector encoding an siRNA specific for the gene. Lenti virus vectors encoding siRNAs specific for cancer-related genes inhibit gene expression and cause apoptosis after introduction into cancer cells. Viral replication in HIV-infected cells is inhibited after the introduction of lentivirus vectors encoding siRNA into cells for specific HIV genes.n n n Lentivirus, vector, siRNA, HIV, gene, cancer cell |
