abstract | The present invention relates to a method for effectively removing a low molecular weight material from a polyimide precursor or a polyimide in which a low molecular weight material is microdispersed without using a large amount of an organic solvent. The method for removing low molecular weight material comprises a polymer composition having a microphase separation structure consisting of a continuous phase comprising a polyimide precursor and a discontinuous phase dispersed in the continuous phase and comprising a low molecular weight material, or a polyimide precursor of the polymer composition. The polyimide composition obtained by conversion to polyimide comprises extracting with a combination of supercritical carbon dioxide and a cosolvent to remove low molecular weight material. The cosolvent is preferably an aprotic polar solvent, more preferably a nitrogen compound solvent or a sulfur compound solvent. |
