titleOfInvention Mesoprogestin (progesterone receptor modulator) as a component of a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) composition
abstract The present invention relates to the use of mesoprogestin as a pharmaceutical component for the manufacture of a medicament for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and a component used in combination with estrogen for the manufacture of a medicament for HRT, as well as for each HRT-method and hormone deficiency and Relates to the treatment of hormonal irregular symptoms. Mesoprogestin is defined as a compound having both agonist and antagonist activity at the progesterone receptor (PR) in vivo. They stabilize the function of PR to intermediate levels of agonists and antagonists. With progestins or antiprogestins no corresponding functional state can be achieved. J867, J912, J956 and J1042 are preferred mesoprogestins according to the present invention.
