abstract | The present invention relates to an ethylene polymerization and copolymerization method, comprising: (a) a solid complex titanium catalyst prepared by a production method comprising the following steps; (Iii) contacting the magnesium halide compound with an alcohol to prepare a magnesium compound solution; (ii) reacting therewith an ester compound comprising at least one hydroxy group and a silicon compound having an alkoxy group; (iii) reacting the mixture of the titanium compound and the silicon compound to obtain a solid titanium catalyst component; (iv) washing the solid titanium catalyst component with a halogenated saturated hydrocarbon compound; (v) further reacting the washed solid titanium catalyst component with a titanium compound to obtain a solid complex titanium catalyst; And (b) polymerizing or copolymerizing ethylene in the presence of a Group II or Group III organometallic compound of the periodic table.
