abstract | A two-component bonding composition is provided that hydrates calcium sulphate hemihydrate to cure with gypsum and does not use clay.n n n The first component system comprises calcium sulfate hemihydrate, in-situ acid acrylate copolymer thickener (ie, binder thickener) together with calcium-free phosphate hardener.n n n The first component system contains water but remains uncured for at least 175 days. The second component system contains a curing initiator compound having a cation whose log K value is larger than that of calcium ions. The second component system is mixed with the first component system when curing is required. |
