titleOfInvention Titanium Material and Manufacturing Method
abstract The titanium (Ti) material of the present invention is a base formed of a titanium alloy containing at least one alloying element selected from gold, silver or platinum-based elements, and a thickening integrally formed on the surface of the base. A layer is provided, and this thickening layer elutes Ti from the surface of the substrate to form a concentrated layer in which the alloying element is concentrated. In this thickening layer, the alloying element extracts Ti from the surface of the substrate. It is concentrated to the thickening layer.n n n The average thickness of the above thickening layer is made 2.5 nm or more. The thickening of the alloying elements in the concentrated layer is 40 to 100 atomic% in total. Alloy element content in the said base material shall be 0.01-1.0 mass% in total.n n n The titanium material for electrodes according to the present invention can be suitably used as a separator for fuel cells, and is easy to manufacture, and the manufacturing cost and the like are significantly reduced.
