titleOfInvention Methods for improving the sterilization of lumens and systems for sterilizing lumens
abstract The present invention relates to a method for sterilizing the inside of a lumen, wherein a dry booster is attached to the end of the lumen without containing liquid and having an internal volume of at least twice the internal volume of the lumen. After the lumen and dry booster are introduced into the sterilization chamber, the sterilant is introduced into the chamber. Higher pressure builds up outside than inside the booster. An empty dry booster sterilizes the lumen inside by drawing the sterilizer into the lumen. The method can be improved by reducing the pressure in the chamber before introducing the sterilant.n n n n Sterile, Dry Booster.
