abstract |
The present invention relates to a hybrid electrical energy storage device. The apparatus includes an electrical energy storage device including a first electrode having a first electrode layer formed on a current collector, a second electrode having a second electrode layer formed on a current collector, and an electrolyte, wherein the first electrode layer includes graphite. The second electrode layer contains lithium metal oxide in addition to activated carbon. Here, the first electrode stores energy by a redox reaction, and the second electrode simultaneously performs an electric double layer reaction by activated carbon and a redox reaction on a lithium metal oxide. Lithium metal oxide added to the second electrode layer is the first condition that the detachment and insertion of lithium ions occurs by the redox reaction, and the second condition that the redox reaction of the lithium ion proceeds within the electric double layer reaction potential of activated carbon. Must be satisfied at the same time. The hybrid electric energy storage device according to the present invention provides a driving voltage and a high output of 4V. In addition, unlike the conventional graphite / activated carbon hybrid electrical energy storage device, there is no sudden voltage rise and voltage drop in the graphite electrode. This raises the discharge efficiency. |
