titleOfInvention Improved Automatic Gain Control Mechanism for Timeslot Data Transmission
abstract The automatic gain (AGC) control method according to the present invention applies an initial gain by a digital AGC circuit in a timeslot. This initial gain is determined using the gain finally calculated from the same timeslot of the previous frame along with the offset coefficient. The erase function 14 is activated for a given data sample block when the number of saturated data samples detected in block 17 exceeds a threshold. The power measurement made by the AGC circuit and used to update the gain is adjusted based on the number of saturated measurement data samples. These elements provide gain limiting and allow dynamic range limitations for further signal processing.n n n n Automatic Gain Control, Timeslot, AGC, Saturation Detection, Correction Factor
