The present invention relates to sustained release oral formulations of the novel morphine sulfate in micro granule form.n n n In the micro granules comprising the neutral support particles coated with the active layer and the sustained release layer, the sustained release layer is a copolymer and hydrophobic of methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate ester having a relative ratio of free carboxyl group and ester group of about 0.5 It is characterized by containing a silica showing.n n n The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of micro granules which is carried out only in an aqueous medium by standing on neutral support particles. |
