titleOfInvention Low Power Consumption Semiconductor Memory System
abstract Disclosed is a semiconductor memory system that can stably operate at high frequencies to overcome limitations of operating speed and minimize power consumption during data transmission. The semiconductor memory system includes one or more memory modules including a plurality of semiconductor memory devices and a memory controller for controlling the semiconductor memory devices. Each of the semiconductor memory devices includes an input buffer and an output buffer, and is connected in a point-to-point manner for transmitting the data signal through adjacent semiconductor memory devices in input and output of the data signal. The output buffer of each of the semiconductor memory devices may set a turn-on resistance value differently according to a length of a transmission path of the data signal when outputting a data signal to an adjacent semiconductor memory device.
