Alkyl and aryl trifluoromethoxytetrafluorosulfuran |
abstract |
The present invention discloses novel compounds containing -SF 4 -O-CF 3 bound to organic groups. It was synthesized through the reaction of aryl trifluoromethoxytetrafluorosulfuran (ie Ar-SF 4 -O-CF 3 ) with aryl disulfide or thiol with fluorooxytrifluoromethane (F 3 COF). . The compounds can be derivatized as useful synthetic monomers to produce novel liquid crystal preparation compounds with highly electrically polar molecules, especially high dielectric anisotropy. Cycloalkyl trifluoromethoxytetrafluorosulfuran also has similar utility. |
