The present invention relates to a non-aqueous electrolyte cell in which the battery capacity is improved and the positioning accuracy of the external terminal is guaranteed. The unit cell is housed in a package of laminate film and sealed by heat sealing. When the electrode terminal leads exposed to the outside of the packaging material are surrounded by the heat-sealing portion, the leads are electrically connected to the long positive and negative terminals of the unit cell. The unit cell is a winding assembly of a positive electrode and a negative electrode each composed of a current collector on which an active material layer is formed. The electrode terminal leads are mounted on the current collectors of the positive electrode and the negative electrode near the innermost periphery of the winding assembly. In the manufacture of the unit cell, the position of the electrode terminal lead is detected to determine the position with respect to the flat winding axis.
