titleOfInvention Liquid crystal display
abstract The present invention provides a high quality liquid crystal display device which eliminates non-uniformity of display due to photo-deterioration of liquid crystal material.n n n A pair of substrates having a liquid crystal layer fixed therebetween are attached to each other with resin, and the resin portion is provided with one or more openings for injecting liquid crystal into a gap between the pair of substrates.n n n This opening is sealed with photocurable resin. The liquid crystal layer comprises a photoreactive liquid crystal compound in which the molecular structure is converted by light irradiation, and an alkyl substituent having 1 to 8 carbon atoms in its molecule, each having a higher extinction coefficient than the photoreactive liquid crystal compound at a predetermined wavelength. And a light absorbing organic compound containing at least one kenyl substituent and an alkoxyl substituent.n n n n Liquid crystal display device, photocurable resin, refractive anisotropy, photoreactive liquid crystal compound, light absorbing organic compound.
