titleOfInvention | Phosphated Amine Chain-extended Epoxy Polymer Compound |
abstract | The present invention forms an amine extended resin composition having unreacted epoxy groups by (a) mixing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component and a polyepoxide component polymerizable under free-radical initiated polymerization conditions, and (b) Provided are novel phosphated polymer products formed by at least partially phosphating an unreacted epoxy group. The present invention also provides a novel coating composition containing the polymer product. The new coating compositions have many different uses, but they produce cured films with excellent performance properties such as flexibility and extensibility, coalescence, resistance to boiling liquid packaging tests and boiling water taste test results, in particular cans. It is particularly useful for application to metal substrates such as terminal raw materials. |
