abstract | The present invention provides an electrolytic capacitor having excellent high temperature life characteristics and excellent low temperature characteristics, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor having excellent high temperature lifetime characteristics and moisture resistance, low dielectric loss and good low temperature characteristics, and an electrolyte therefor. The first electrolyte comprises a mixed solvent of sulfolane with one or more selected from 3-methyl sulfolane and 2,4-dimethyl sulfolane, and the second electrolyte is added to a mixed solvent containing sulfolane and γ-butyrolactone. The quaternized imidazolinium salt or the quaternized pyrimidinium salt is dissolved, and the third electrolyte contains two or more selected from γ-butyrolactone and sulfolane, 3-methyl sulfolane and 2,4-dimethyl sulfolane.
