abstract Cetylpyridinium salts and cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) are used as hydrogen evolution inhibitors (current efficiency enhancers) in conventional zinc electrosmelting processes. Zinc electrolytic smelting compositions containing a) antimony and b) antimony and glue were tested.n n n The current efficiency of both electrolytes was increased by adding CPC at 0.05mM concentration.
