abstract The present invention relates to a method for isomerizing aromatic compounds having 8 carbon atoms. The catalyst used in the process of the invention contains at least one EUO structured zeolite and group VIII elements. As shown in FIG. 1, the feedstock to be isomerized is injected into reactor R via line 1. To this new feedstock, via lines 6 and 11 is added a mixture containing one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of paraffins having 8 carbon atoms, benzene, toluene and naphthenes having 8 carbon atoms.
