titleOfInvention | A method of driving a discharge display panel for improving linearity of gradation, and a discharge display device using the method |
abstract | In the method according to the invention, a unit frame is time-division driven by a plurality of subfields, each subfield including reset, addressing, and sustain-discharge times, each sustain-discharge at each of the sustain-discharge times. It is a driving method of the discharge display panel in which the number of pulses is set. Here, the number of sustain-discharge pulses set in each of the sustain-discharge times is not set so as to be directly proportional to the gradation weight of each subfield, but is set by an experiment so that the actual luminance of the gradation weight of each subfield can be obtained. |
