abstract |
The present invention relates to an aqueous composition comprising anionic organic polymer particles and colloidal anionic silica based particles. Anionic organic polymer particles are obtained by polymerizing one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers with one or more multi-functional branching agents or multi-functional crosslinking agents. The anionic organic polymer particles and the colloidal anionic silica based particles in the aqueous composition are present in an amount of at least 0.01% by weight of the total weight of the composition. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing an aqueous composition, the use of the composition and a paper manufacturing process in which the aqueous composition is added to a cellulose suspension. |
