titleOfInvention | Hardened silane-end capped compositions with improved performance |
abstract | Some materials of the N-silylalkyl-aspartic acid ester class, when used to endcap polyurethane polymers, are moisture curable, some of which have significantly improved physical properties compared to other materials of the same class of organofunctional silanes. provide one-part sealing material formulation.n n n More specifically, the dibutyl or diethyl terminated polyurethane polymer / primary aminoalkyl silane addition product is terminated with other olefinic carboxylate esters (dimethyl maleate, dimethyl crotonate) or nitrile (acrylonitrile). The sealing material substantially exceeded the comparative sealing material obtained using the capped polymer primary aminoalkyl silane addition product.n n n Incidentally, sealing material formulations containing polymers of dibutyl or diethyl maleate / primary aminoalkyl silane-terminated have demonstrated unexpected improvements in draw strength and tensile strength performance. Dibutyl maleate and dimethyl maleate based polymers showed a significant increase in tensile resistance. |
