abstract | The composition used for the aerosol inhaler consists of an activator, an accelerator containing hydrofluoro alkanes and cosolvents. This composition also contains low volatility components that are added to increase the mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of the aerosol particles in activation of the inhaler. With the addition of this low volatility component the MMAD of the aerosol particles can be compared to the MMAD of the aerosol particles of the aerosol inhaler containing the environmentally harmful element CFC as an accelerator. |
