abstract | The present invention provides a new test method for measuring susceptibility to antiviral drugs, the test method comprising the steps of (a) introducing into a host cell a resistance test vector comprising segments and indicator genes derived from the patient; ; (b) culturing the host cell of step (a); (c) measuring the expression of the indicator gene in the target host cell; (d) comparing the expression of the indicator gene measured by performing steps (a)-(c) and the expression of the indicator gene of step (c) in the absence of an antiviral drug, wherein Test concentration of the viral drug is the steps (a)-(c); Present in steps (b)-(c) or (c). The present invention also provides a method for measuring the resistance of an antiviral drug in a patient. The invention also provides a method for assessing the biological effect of a compound of a candidate antiviral drug. A resistance test vector comprising a segment derived from a patient and an indicator gene and a composition comprising a host cell transformed with the resistance test vector are provided. |
