titleOfInvention Multi-phase dual cycle influent process
abstract The wastewater treatment apparatus of the present invention comprises an anaerobic reaction reservoir (1), a separator (4) generally separated by a vertical dividing wall (13), an inlet (6) into which the wastewater enters the anaerobic reaction cell (1), mixing Means 9a and any conduits 23 for removing the mixed liquor. The apparatus described above can concentrate nitrified activated sludge and recycle the nitrified sludge to an aerobic cell to provide a more effective method and apparatus for sewage treatment. The basic apparatus is described in several embodiments selected based on the content of wastewater. The improved device minimizes dilution of the mixed liquor, increases hydraulic residence time at various process points, and conserves energy.
