The image display device includes two data signal line driver circuits and two scan signal line driver circuits having a plurality of different configurations. Each data signal line driver circuit or scan signal line driver circuit has a different displayable format. By switching the driving circuit to be operated in accordance with the type of video input and the use environment, display in an optimal display format can be realized, and power consumption can also be reduced. In addition, since the image can be overlapped by writing a video signal on the signal line with a time difference using a plurality of driving circuits, superimpose display can be performed without signal processing of the video signal from the outside. In the image display apparatus, both good image display and low power consumption can be achieved. |
