Sheets formed from polyesters including isosorbide |
abstract |
The present invention relates to sheets made of polyester comprising monomeric units of terephthaloyl residues, ethylene glycol residues and isosorbide residues. The polyester has an intrinsic viscosity of at least about 0.35 dL / g as measured in the state of a 1% (weight / volume) solution dissolved in o-chlorophenol at 25 ° C. The invention also relates to a process for producing the polyester sheet described above and to a method of thermoforming the sheet to make a product. |
