abstract The present invention relates to a novel functional diamine and a liquid crystal aligning film prepared using the same, and more particularly to producing a polyamic acid using the functional diamine, aromatic cyclic diamine, aliphatic cyclic acid dianhydride and aromatic cyclic acid dianhydride. Accordingly, the present invention provides a liquid crystal alignment layer having high heat resistance, high transmittance in the visible light region, excellent alignment characteristics, high voltage holding ratio, and easy adjustment of the pretilt angle.
