titleOfInvention | Toner and Heat-Fixing Method |
abstract | Toners characterized by improved fixing performance, using no or minimal amounts of oil, include (i) binder resins, (ii) colorants, (iii) hydrocarbon waxes, and (iv) nitrogen-containing vinyl monomers, carboxyl groups in the presence of hydrocarbon units. It is formed of a resin composition formed by copolymerization of a styrene monomer with at least one of a containing monomer, a hydroxyl group containing monomer and a (meth) acrylate ester monomer, and (v) an organometallic compound. Binder resin (i) contains a polyester component in the ratio of 60 weight% or more with respect to a binder resin. The toner has a GPC molecular weight distribution comprising a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 4.0 × 10 4 or more and a Mw / Mn ratio of Mw and number average molecular weight (Mn) of 50 or more. |
