titleOfInvention Process for Preparing Phenolic Resin Nanocomposite comprising Exfoliated Layered-Silicate Using Resol-type Phenolic Resin
abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite using a resol type phenolic resin, and a release type phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite prepared therefrom. In the present invention, a method for producing a peelable phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite and kneading with a solid resolic phenolic resin and a modified layered silicate obtained by adding excess water to a water-soluble resolic phenolic resin solution and heat treatment Phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposites are provided. According to the present invention, the layered silicate reacts with the hydroxyl group of the phenolic resin and the layered silicate is completely peeled off and dispersed into the phenolic resin. Thus, the peelable phenolic resin-layered layer exhibits significantly improved physical properties while containing a small amount of silicate. Silicate nanocomposites can be prepared.
