titleOfInvention Process for Preparing Phenolic Resin Nanocomposite Having End-Tethered Structure Comprising Exfoliated Layered-Silicate
abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a peelable phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite having a terminal bond structure and a phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite prepared therefrom. In the present invention, an organic compound containing a cation and capable of reacting with a phenolic resin is reacted with a layered silicate to obtain a modified layered silicate, followed by kneading and curing the modified layered silicate and a phenolic resin to have a terminal bond structure. A method for producing a type phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite and a phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite prepared therefrom are provided. The phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposite of the present invention is not only dispersed in a state in which the layered silicate is completely peeled off in the composite, but also has a terminal bond structure between the phenolic resin and the layered silicate. Phenolic resin-layered silicate nanocomposites having superior physical properties compared to the composites can be prepared.
