titleOfInvention | Lectin protein prepared from Maackia fauriei, process for preparing the same and the use thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to an MFA substance which is a lectin component isolated and purified from the pine bark belonging to Korean legumes, a method for producing the same, and a use thereof. This protein can be used as a reagent in the study of carbohydrate-binding proteins due to its ability to recognize N-acetylneuraminic acid, which plays an important role in the expression of functions in various cell or glycoprotein sugar ends. It can be used to confirm the change in the distribution of N-acetylneuraminic acid in vivo and can also be used as a cell proliferation inhibitor for various cancer cells including breast cancer, melanoma and liver cancer. |
