titleOfInvention | Inkjet printhead with reverse heater and method of manufacturing thereof |
abstract | An inkjet printhead having a reverse heater and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The disclosed printhead includes a substrate, an insulating layer formed on the substrate, a heater formed on the insulating layer, conducting wires formed on the insulating layer so as to be connected under both ends of the heater, and a front surface of the substrate to cover the heaters and the conducting wires. A base plate including a protective layer formed thereon and a cavitation prevention layer formed on the protective layer; A flow path plate laminated on the base plate; And a nozzle plate stacked on the flow path plate, wherein a spacer insulating film is formed on an end side of the conductive wire in contact with the heater. In addition, according to the manufacturing method of the present invention, after forming the insulating layer and the conductive wire on the substrate, the insulating material is deposited on the insulating layer and the conductive wire and etched the entire surface to form a spacer insulating film on the end side of the conductive wire. Subsequently, a heater connected to the conductive line is formed on the insulating layer, the conductive line, and the spacer insulating layer. According to the present invention, no undercut or weak portion occurs near the boundary between the conductive wire and the insulating layer, and the heater has a flexible profile, thereby improving the efficiency of the heater and the structural and electrical reliability of the printhead. |
