abstract | The present invention relates to a lignophenol derivative comprising a diphenylpropane unit formed by bonding carbon at the ortho position of a phenolic hydroxyl group of a phenol derivative to a carbon atom at the benzyl position of a phenyl propane basic unit of lignin. By combining an oxygen atom of the hydroxyl group with a carbon atom at the β-position under an alkali which can be used, a novel aryl comarane comprising an aryl comarane unit in which the coumaran skeleton is bound to an aromatic nucleus derived from lignin is obtained. It is to provide a method for producing a lignin derivative. |
