abstract The present invention provides a cellulosic fiber granule comprising added self-bonding fine particles or fibers. The granules formed are free flowing granules with a densified outer surface that can remove oil or other fluid from a substantially flat surface, such as a floor. The granules can also be incinerated because they are made almost entirely of organic material. Cellulosic vegetable fibers form at least 10% and up to 99% of the granules. The present invention also provides a method of making a free flowing, incinerated absorbent granule.
