titleOfInvention Absorbent article having a composite absorbent core
abstract The present invention relates to a unique composite absorbent core 34 and absorbent article 20 containing the same. The absorbent core 34 includes one or more absorbent portions 60 and one or more porous elastics 62. The porous elastic portion 62 is located adjacent to the absorbent portion 60 and has a wet compression recovery of about 85% or more. The basis weight of the porous elastic portion 62 may be about 50 to about 250 g / m 2 , and the density may be about 0.050 g / cm 3 or less. In a particular aspect, the average pore size of the porous elastic portion 62 is at least about 1.50 mm. In a particular aspect, the absorbent article includes an absorbent core 34, wherein the crotch width of the absorbent core may be about 6.35 cm or less. In another particular aspect, the fluid absorption rate of the absorbent article is at least about 10 ml / sec.
