abstract |
The present invention provides an organic electrolyte solution comprising an oxalate compound in an organic electrolyte solution consisting of a lithium salt and an organic solvent, and a lithium battery employing the same. The organic electrolyte solution of the present invention contains an oxalate-based compound to improve the conductivity of lithium ions while stabilizing lithium metal. Such an organic electrolyte is applied to a lithium battery using a lithium metal electrode as an anode, thereby improving charge and discharge efficiency characteristics. In particular, when the organic electrolytic solution of the present invention is used in a lithium sulfur battery, the ion conductivity is improved by lithium ions chelated to the oxalate-based compound of Formula 1, thereby improving charging and discharging efficiency, as well as bonding between lithium ions and sulfide anions. The reversible capacity of the sulfur can be increased by preventing the increase in the solubility of the sulfide. |
