abstract The present invention relates to a method for mass-producing a high-performance polymer using a cashew-nut shell liquid (CNSL), a low-cost natural raw material, and a coating composition comprising the obtained polymer or a product molded therefrom. The cashew nut is a kind of nut. (cashew nut) A high molecular weight polymer obtained through a chain polymerization process in the presence of a cationic polymerization initiator in the presence of a large amount of CNSL generated as a by-product during production processing can form a coating film having excellent physical properties by addition of a curing agent or heating. It can also be molded into molded articles having excellent physical properties.
