titleOfInvention | Glittering cube-corner article |
abstract | The sparkling glow generating retroreflective sheet 60 comprises a row of cube corner elements 30, the cube corner elements having the cube corners such that the sheet generates a sparkling glow when light is incident on the sheet. It is arranged in the element column. The glitter glow is in the form of a number of discrete light spots that tend to flicker. The cube corner element array has adjacent cube surfaces 31 of adjacent cube corner elements 30 in each groove of one set of three sets of grooves 45, 46, 47 having a back angle α. The bottom face 36 is configured not to be parallel to each other when varying between) and when the sheet 60 is laid flat. Preferably, the back angle α between the faces 31 of the adjacent cube corner elements 30 changes mainly in all the grooves so that the cube corner elements are inclined irregularly over the whole of the cube corner element array. The sparkling can be very useful for aesthetic or decorative use of the sheet. |
