titleOfInvention Control of enterohemorrhagic e. coli o157:h7 in cattle by probiotic bacteria
abstract In the present invention, dominant probiotic bacterial strains were isolated. Isolated bacterial strains supplied to ruminants can prevent the attachment of the pathogen E. coli 0157: H7 in the animal. Strains may be re-isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of the inoculated animal about 28 days after inoculation. Animals already infected with E. coli 0157: H7 can be treated to reduce or eliminate pathogens by administering the dominant probiotic bacteria of the present invention.
