titleOfInvention | Disposable Absorbent Article Including an Elastcized Area |
abstract | Disclosed is a disposable absorbent article having a length and a width. The disposable absorbent article defines first and second waist portions and first and second longitudinal edge portions. The disposable absorbent article comprises a back sheet layer, a top sheet layer, and an absorbent structure disposed between the two sheets. The article comprises at least one elastic part made from an elastic, hot melt, pressure-sensitive adhesive, first and second members, the first and second members being joined together by the elastic, hot melt, . The elastic, hot melt, pressure-sensitive adhesive and the elastic part thus made have the following characteristics: a) Adhesive bonding force to sufficiently bond the first and second members during use of the disposable absorbent article; b) an elongation of at least 50%; c) restitution of less than 157.48 grams per inch (400 grams per inch) in 90% stretch; d) Viscosity less than 70,000 centipoise at 176.67 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit); And e) less than 20% cold flow at 54 degrees Celsius. |
