titleOfInvention | Aqueous emulsion and dispersant for suspension polymerization of vinyl compound |
abstract | A dispersant for emulsion polymerization or suspension polymerization containing a vinyl alcohol polymer having at least 1.9 mol% of 1,2-glycol bonds. Such dispersants, even when added in reduced amounts, can impart excellent polymerization stability. The aqueous emulsion obtained has excellent water resistance and reduced temperature dependence. Suspension polymerization can yield vinyl polymers with reduced coloration. In addition, wastewater generated from suspension polymerization reduces the burden on the environment. |
